What is it about KC that inspires creativity in you?
The support. Being from St. Joe, many of our first shows were at the Riot Room and the Record Bar in KC. They adopted us as a band and provided opportunities for us to grow.
What is your favorite spot in Kansas City?
The Record Bar…but the Alamo Draft house is a close second.
Where’s your favorite place outside of Kansas City?
The Blackheart in London.
What’s your most treasured possession?
[Our cats] Ted and Fred. Not sure they count as a possession necessarily, but there is nothing we’ve treasured more than those cats.
Who’s your favorite fictional hero?
Who do you most admire in real-life?
There’s a long list of musicians who have inspired us. To name a few, John Entwistle from The Who, Jimi Hendrix, Kurt Cobain, Rivers Cuomo and, of course, The Beatles are a really big one.
When and where are you happiest?
Right after a tour when we get home and all of our work is done. No stress.
