Accepting a new job and moving to a new city can be both exciting and overwhelming. There’s a completely new environment to navigate including school systems, housing, entertainment, even just figuring out how to get around.

With the hope of relieving stress and anxiety related to moving, TeamKC aims to help newly relocated or soon-to-be relocated employees to the Kansas City area learn about everything this region has to offer.

The Make it MyKC Relocation event gathered a collective of 18 experts in topics such as nightlife, housing, cuisine, outdoors, etc. and attendees in a virtual setting to answer any questions attendees had about living their best life in KC.

A past participant explains her experience as, “I cannot think of a better way to welcome both those recently moved here, and those soon coming to the metro KC area… Think about all the time you saved the participants… because it is REALLY HARD to be the new person in a new town, on your own. We have all been there. This type of forum gives participants a bit of knowledge, and a connection to others.”

Attendees representing the following companies participated:
Black & Veatch Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City Honeywell FM&T Overland Park Chamber of Commerce
Burns & McDonnell Garmin Kansas State University Polsinelli
Dairy Farmers of America GBA KC Tech Council SelectQuote
Dimensional Innovations Hallmark McCownGordon Construction T-Mobile

DRAW Architecture + Urban Design   HFG Architecture  MRIGlobal  VMLY&R

A BIG thank you to our talent acquisition partners and KC experts for their work to make the event a success!
