Charlie Hustle Honored with 2020 TeamKC MVP Award

by Lexi Ryan | Feb 28, 2020

The 2020 TeamKC MVP Award recipient is Charlie Hustle, announced at the third annual TeamKC Training Camp talent summit on Friday, Feb. 28.

The peer-nominated TeamKC MVP Award recognizes an organization that has made a significant impact by elevating the KC region’s status as a top destination for talent. The award celebrates a group that has gone above and beyond to model collaboration, innovation, thought leadership and impact on behalf of the Kansas City community.

Charlie Hustle received the TeamKC MVP Award for its generosity and partnership with the Kansas City Area Development Council in sharing the KC Heart icon as our KC region’s new global consumer brand.

Charlie Hustle’s KC Heart icon is the foundation of the KC Heartland campaign - launched in November 2019. Charlie Hustle began selling KC Heart t-shirts in 2011, pulling inspiration from Kansas City’s rich heritage and celebrating its location in the heart of America. To date, more than 1 million KC Heart t-shirts have been worn by people across the globe, and sales of the KC Heart shirts have raised $1 million for charity

Nominations are now being accepted for the 2021 TeamKC MVP Award for corporate, educational, civic, government or nonprofit organizations based anywhere in the 18-county, two-state KC region. The TeamKC Advisory Board will make the final decision on the recipient of the award.
