On February 28, 2023, Kansas City opened its new 1-million-square-foot terminal. As the largest infrastructure project in Kansas City’s history, the new $1.5 billion single Kansas City International (MCI) terminal is one of the most inclusive in the U.S.
The Kansas City Area Development Council, alongside investor and public relations firm, Violet PR, and many partners involved in the project, shared insight into the new terminal's inclusive amenities, innovative features, local brands and massive public art program.
The effort garnered national attention generating 42 pieces of coverage with an audience reach of 1.02 billion.
