by Lexi Ryan | Feb 08, 2019

The 2019 TeamKC MVP Award recipient is Made in KC, announced at the second annual TeamKC Training Camp talent summit on Friday, Feb. 8.

The peer-nominated TeamKC MVP Award recognizes an organization that has made a significant impact by promoting the KC region’s status as a top destination for talent. The award celebrates a group that has gone above and beyond to model collaboration, innovation, thought leadership and impact on behalf of the Kansas City community.

Made in KC received the TeamKC MVP Award for its bold entrepreneurial effort to support local makers and its collaborative approach to curating hometown products that celebrate the region’s strong sense of pride.

In 2018, Made in KC opened the Made in KC Cafe, the Made in KC Marketplace, participated in KCADC’s KCinNYC pop-up event for national media, created partnerships with client and candidate visits throughout the TeamKC network, announced plans for a River Market Trolley Made in KC storefront and much more.

Nominations are now being accepted for the 2020 TeamKC MVP Award for corporate, educational, civic, government or nonprofit organizations based anywhere in the 18-county, two-state KC region. The TeamKC Advisory Board will make the final decision on the recipient of the award.
