Manufacturers Select KC For New Facilities

Dot’s Pretzels and Tuthill Corporation recently announced new manufacturing facilities in the Kansas City region. 

Dot’s Pretzels, a food manufacturer, selected Logistics Park Kansas City in Edgerton, Kansas for its new 186,107-sq.-ft. manufacturing facility. The company plans to begin operations later this year in the new facility that will increase Dot's production capacity to meet the ever-increasing national demand for its signature snacks. The new facility will be the largest manufacturing plant in the Dot’s Pretzels portfolio. The company is investing $15 million and creating 22 new jobs. Read more

Tuthill Corporation, a global manufacturer of industrial pumps, has opened a new 53,352-sq.-ft. manufacturing facility in Lenexa, Kan., creating 68 jobs. The facility brings both professional and manufacturing jobs to the Lenexa community. The location will support Tuthill’s business and commercial model to better serve customers as the demand through sales channels and e-marketplaces continues to grow. Read more

More than 45 million sq. ft. of industrial development has been built in the KC region since 2012. This development, coupled with a manufacturing workforce of more than 150,000 and the capacity to reach 85 percent of the U.S. in two days or less, positions the Kansas City region well for manufacturing and distribution success.
