I just had the honor of accepting an award recognizing KCADC as one of the top 10 economic development groups for 2009. The recognition was given by Site Selection magazine at the Industrial Asset Management Council meeting. Last week the only 2010 international award for economic development leadership was given to KCADC by CoreNet Global for our work in developing the KC Animal Health Corridor.

These awards are symbols of KCADC's pledge to achieve excellence with our clients and regional partners.
It was great for KCADC to be recognized but it would have been even better if our whole team … KCADC staff and KCADC Investors could have been present, too. Awards are funny … the honor lasts for a day or two and then we are back to “what have you done lately.” I don’t know if we will win another 10 awards or if this is the last time. What I do know is I’m far prouder of our team than I am of a piece of crystal. So … recognition or not, thank you for all you do to put Kansas City on the economic development map.
