Sara Lee Opens New Operation in KC

Sara Lee Corp. will create more than 250 jobs with the opening of a new state-of-the-art sliced meat manufacturing facility, which will become fully operational by 2011.  

The Fortune 500 company will invest more than $130 million in the 187,000-square-foot facility, which will give Sara Lee the capacity for long-term growth in the meat business.

The new operation will locate in the former ConAgra building at 4612 Speaker Road.
