Colorado-based Insurance Group Expands into KC

Rio National Insurance, a Colorado-based group, selected the KC region for its first Midwest regional service office. The growing insurance group plans to hire 20 people each year for the next five years, ultimately reaching 100 employees.

Rio National Insurance selected the Kansas City area because of the central location to the group's key markets in Missouri, Kansas, Iowa and Nebraska. The area's large labor pool and work ethic also attracted the company to the region.

The company recently leased 3,000 square feet at a Bank of the West building in Lee's Summit, Mo. This new Midwest regional office will handle marketing, customer service, claim adjustment and product management for the Midwest market.
