CEVA SANTE ANIMALE Invests $15 M in KC

CEVA SANTE ANIMALE, a global leader in the animal health industry, will invest $15 million with the construction of a new 20,000-square-foot production facility for its U.S. subsidiary, CEVA BIOMUNE. 

Lenexa-based CEVA BIOMUNE will add 80 new employees to its existing workforce of 180. The facility will house a new poultry vaccine production operation for the company near its existing campus in Lenexa. The new facility will be operational in mid-2010.

The company considered sites in Brazil and Europe for this new operation. Executives selected the Lenexa location because of the R&D and manufacturing workforce strength in the KC Animal Health Corridor.
