MillerCoors Relocates Its Regional Headquarters
January 28, 2009 – KANSAS CITY – Recently-formed MillerCoors will relocate its regional headquarters and training facility from St. Louis to Kansas City. A 10,000-square-foot space at Zona Rosa in Platte County will house close to 35 MillerCoors employees including executive and support staff.
The company began to reassess its regional office locations after Miller Brewing Company and Coors Brewing Company merged in 2008. MillerCoors evaluated several markets in the Midwest in an effort to centralize its operations.
Phil James, senior vice president/principal, Grubb & Ellis/The Winbury Group, represented MillerCoors in its location evaluation of Kansas City. The company selected the KC region because of the proximity to its Midwest customer base and the affordable air service options to U.S. markets through KCI.
