Victory Junction Gang Camp to Build Second Camp in Kansas City

February 21, 2008 – Kyle and Pattie Petty announced today that they have decided to open a second Victory Junction Gang Camp in Wyandotte County, Kan.

The Pettys have been meeting with business and civic leaders over the last few months and have been studying the sustainability of an $80 million-plus camp in the area. Initial plans show the camp with approximately 40 buildings including a medical center and 60 full-time employees.

"We're excited to be able to make this announcement today because this is such a special place for our family," said Pattie Petty, co-founder of the Camp. "I'd like to thank all of the communities who opened up their arms to welcome us; it has been a difficult decision.

The Pettys envision that this Victory Junction Gang Camp will not only continue the NASCAR-theme but will also include sports themes that are prevalent in the Midwest.
