New U.S. Headquarter Operation Selects Kansas City
Calgary, Alberta-based OPIsystems Inc. will launch U.S. subsidiary in Kansas City
November 7, 2008 – Kansas City – OPIsystems, an agriculture technology company, will locate its new U.S. subsidiary, Integris USA, in Kansas City. Over the next three to five years the company plans to add 20 new technology-intensive jobs.
Integris evaluated other Midwest markets before deciding on Kansas City including Omaha and St. Louis. Kansas City's close proximity to the U.S. agriculture market and access to a strong transportation infrastructure persuaded Integris to locate its headquarters in the Kansas City area.
"Kansas City is an ideal location for Integris for a number of reasons. Our company, which is the U.S. operation for Calgary-based OPIsystems, specializes in the production of advanced grain monitoring and management systems. The Kansas City market provides us with easy and cost-effective access to the vast majority of our top prospects throughout the Corn and Wheat belts," said Bruce Scott, COO of Integris USA.
The company produces technological grain management systems. The monitoring and management software produced by OPIsystems aids famers and commercial grain handlers to reduce grain aeration energy costs while helping increase the grain yields.
